Hybrid working is here to stay. And that’s a good thing.
Recent research shows that hybrid workers are generally happier than those based in the office, as well as those based fully remote.
Hybrid working has huge benefits, but it has means the world of work needs to stop and think about how it does things.
Many of the new ways of working are pretty simple. We’ve all learned how to log in to online meetings, and to send and receive messages on various digital platforms. We’ve learned to edit shared documents in the cloud. We’ve learned the art of dressing for comfort from the waist down and professionally from the waist up.
But my interest in hybrid has never been in this functional stuff. It’s in how hybrid changes the way we work together. How we build cultures, how we communicate and how we collaborate.
Everyone has a role to play in this, but there are particular challenges for leaders.
I speak to a LOT of leaders in my work - coaching, facilitating, working on projects and at events. And there are some topics that I’m asked to support with again and again.
So I thought I would offer some FREE support for anyone leading a hybrid team.
It’s been a while since I offered a free webinar.
I find them a great way to share some of the insights I gather from my work and research - but also a great way to connect with you, my subscribers! So it’s been frustrating not to have the time or space.
Well, better late than never. And it genuinely is better because next month I’ll be running a series of three webinars. All completely free to attend.
Each covers a topic that comes up again and again at the moment. They are:
Managing Change (Weds 5 November)
Change is a constant in today's working world. Leading through change means understanding and supporting your team, as well as communicating clearly. How does hybrid change how we do this?
How teams respond to change
How to communicate change effectively in the hybrid world
How to support those who are struggling with change
Tackling Conflict (Weds 13 November)
Managing difficult conversations is all part of leadership. But it can be harder to head off disagreements when you're not face to face. How do you deal with conflict in a hybrid team?
How we respond to conflict - and why
How to deal with conflict when you’re working remotely
How to defuse heated conversations on or offline
Resilience, stress and burnout (Weds 20 November)
All good leaders want to support their team, especially if they are struggling. How do you spot when someone is struggling, and what can hybrid leaders to do build resilience?
What really helps us be more resilient?
Some tools to build your own resilience
Recognising the signs of stress and burnout (in yourself and others)
Some ways you can support your team
You can sign up for one, two or all three. If you can’t make the time/s, a recording will be available.
Please share with anyone you think might be interested. The more the merrier!
